Die Selenoid Tube ist eine Erfindung von Moorhead aus dem Jahre 1923. Er selbst kam im Januar 1923 durch einen Unfall
ums Leben. Seine Mitgesellschafter führten das Projekt weiter.
Die Konstruktion der Röhre verstieß weder gegen das Fleming Patent noch gegen das "Gitter-Patent" von de Forest. Mit jeder Röhre wurde ein Anwendungsblatt ausgeliefert, das einen Schaltplan und entsprechende Instruktionen enthielt Es wird angenommen, das es sich bei dieser Röhre um das wohl letzte Produkt von Moorhead handelte
